Description

This a used, Leupold VX-III, or VX-3 (we can’t tell because of the camo paint); 6.5-20x40 scope; with Leupolds’ fine duplex reticle; & adjustable objective. This scope has a 30 inch main tube, & a 40mm objective, & Leupolds’ side focus.

We bought this scope on a model 70 Winchester; off Gunbroker, for a customer (auction #206717221). Although the seller didn’t mention it; the rifle has the wrong ejector in it, with a new extractor, & a little extra head space. We took the rifle out & shot it, to see how it shot (the best group measured .907" by 1.053" @ 101 yards, a little over ½ MOA). Not bad, but nowhere near as good as it should be; so the rifle is headed back to Winchester; for repairs.

The scope is typical Leupold; crystal clear. No scratches, or blemishes on the lens. Like all Leupold scopes, it has a lifetime warranty, which transfers to anyone who buys it used. Although it isn't in the pictures; there is a 2" sunshade, with the same camo paint; included.

This is a top quality scope, in excellent condition. The new price on this scope is: $708.69

We are pretty sure the rings are; Leupold Mark IV, medium height, steel; Leupold part number; 60595. Notice, the four #15 Torx head ring screws, the cross bolt is pressed into the ring, the nut takes a ½" wrench, & the slight flat spot, in the top of the ring (they look like Leupold rings). The new price on these rings is: $118.93.

We’ll also throw in the base, if you want it. It fits a short action model 70 Winchester. It is not a steel base though; it is aluminum.

However, if you bid on the last day, & we sell your item that day; shipping could be delayed as much as three days (this has happened a couple times in the past; during hunting season, & the holidays).
